Microsoft Office Online for Free?
News from Google OS Chrome scares Microsoft? This is because Microsoft is planning to offer a free online version of their popular software Microsoft Office. It is said that the new web-based Microsoft Office will be available next year. The web-based Microsoft Office will not have all the features that is included in the desktop version. With the upcoming Office 2010 (Office 2010: The Movie), Microsoft plans to have features that allows users to edit video in PowerPoint and manipulate images in Word (this features will not be available in the free Office).
We guess it’s a wise choice to move Microsoft Office to the web and offer it free. That’s because most people are editing their documents online with free web-based applications such as Google Docs and Zoho. We are currently trying out with Zoho and it’s really cool
